Denver mom to sue school after child's mouth taped

DENVER (AP) — The mother of a 6-year-old whose mouth was taped shut by a school secretary is suing the school system.

An elementary school secretary, Jennifer Carter, pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor child abuse charge after the October incident. Carter taped the unruly child's hands and mouth with masking tape.

The mother of the student filed a legal notice to Denver Public Schools that she intends to sue for $500,000.

Carter was sentenced last month to probation and has been fired.

Heck I know adults I would love to duct tape their mouth shut if I could get away with it.

Come on lets sue the parents for having unruly kids notice they don't say what the kid was saying bet it was NOT thank you mam or no thank you.................

Hate to say it, but "mom" might actually win this case against DPS in tort court. She probably won't get the half mil, but she and her attorney will get a pretty nice settlement. When someone hurts you or your family, SUE THEM! It's the American way! Flood the Courts!

I already know I'm going to hell for thinking bad thoughts and finding this funny.

Why it's funny? Well, the kid was misbehaving and apparently she had tape...do the math. I'm actually going to purchase duct tape and keep it in my purse in case I need it. I'm sure the kids fine and his mom rewarded him for their new found riches. Brat may even get his college paid for if they get a good enough lawyer.

I suppose you don't find this as funny as I do either? Pepaw only did what most of us want to do but don't want to get arrested.
