They must think the remote is acting up rather than the batteries going dead. Who'd want to search for batteries just when you've gotten yourself relaxed in your favorite chair?

I can't even find mine most of the time.
I got this big soft chair from some people, they never cleaned it out. About a week later, before bringing it in, I found their remote!! inside it, underneath the cushions. I took it back and the woman was like "OH,OH!! We've been looking for that!!!!"" |

Becaue getting that very last electron from the battery to actually change the channel is easier than getting up for new batteries
