what is that smoking? oil in water/valve/ or what? my miserable piece of shitz car saturn swl did that very same thing, then quit. it was the valve covers or something that cost a fortune.

Yes, this car likely has engine problems. Because the smoke is white, it could be a cracked block. If the smoke was black, it would indicate oil was being burned and this could be caused either by wornout rings, or the valve seals.

Well, I don't live out in the sticks. But, the other day at the local grocery store, I saw an add for a 69 Pinto station wagon! And they wanted $1600 for it!

a million bucks? um don't think so. drove one. a pile of tin. if memory served me correctly, gas tank was in back end, and fires started when hit from behind or something like that...big recall....class action lawsuits. my lp said FCU. i got honks. well it really belonged to shirley, the 4-h home advisor.
