Thanks guys. I have put this off for 22 years. I know it sounds selfish, but I don't want to give up something that I have wanted for a long time. I don't think you should give up anything you want Tami...like ya said, you have put this off and it is time for you. We (mothers) or I will say single parents in general, as to not exclude...tend to put everyone before ourselves. You'll figure out a balance so you can have all you want. Your a strong woman and have been through worse...YOU can do it!!!! |

Helping my son and his g/f, because obviously no one was ready for this. Now I am feeling a little overwhelmed. I am usually an organized person, but all of this has come too quickly. Any ideas as where to begin to help me not feel so overwhelmed? Where do I begin to get things sorted out? It says you are 39. How old is your son and the gf? Are they living with you? She said she just started getting her life together and doing stuff she put off doing...probably to raise her kid(s). Now she gotta deal with a son who because he didn't wear a condom (yeah I know it broke right?  you know when condoms don't work...when you don't take them out of the wrapper!) Anyway...now that she's probably gonna have to take care of it cause she's allowing it. If he is old enough to not use a condom, then let him go get him and his gf and baby a place to live. It's all fun and games until the pregnancy test says positive, right?

To some extent, I agree with you. If it were my son, he would get little help from me. But every situation is different, and everyone handles things differently. If Tami wants to be involved to a higher degree, than she will probably have to take away from somewhere else in her life. |
