What part of getting older makes you most afraid?

The thought of my kids having to take care of me. They can't take care of their pets.

Losing my ability to take care of myself.

Not being able to play softball anymore

Hummm not really anything I'm older not in my youth anymore. And so far it really does not bother me now it would be nice to find someone to share the rest of my life with........but afraid of getting older no.

Not afraid of aging yet... I would assume that any lose of independence from mental health, physical health, financial or whatever

Alzheimer's which is a brain disease destroys brain cells, causing memory loss and problems with thinking and behavior. Therefore it would be associated with loosing ones memory not of the mind aging. |

Therefore it would be associated with loosing ones memory not of the mind aging. I've just never known anyone under 70 that had it. |

Alzheimer's is an organic brain disorder... and yes, people can have onset before the age of 70. |

Alzheimer's is an organic brain disorder... and yes, please can have onset before the age of 70. The earlier one gets it, the quicker it progresses. Worked with a gentleman- 58! in 3 months...wow...it was soooooo scary. The gift in it is that one doesn't ususally know it- conciously- (I think deep down they know it otherwise- if that makes sense). It's the family that suffers so. |
