I have no idea how to approach guys. I want to start dating but i think sometimes it is easier to have stayed married. I go out and guys approach me...but not the one I wanted to. What are the "looks" nowdays...what are the clues..and how to attract the ones who ask to buy YOU a drink not the other way around. I have been outta loop to long?

Heck if I know. Oh it's not so complicated. After a couple of years on this site, you'll wish you stayed married.
Seriously, just stay safe when meeting people for the first time. That's the only real advice I can give you. The rest you just figure it out as you go along. There are no quick and fast tricks to finding love. It just happens when it happens. Good luck. |

Are you just looking for free drinks or are you looking to actually get to know people?

Unbutton a couple of the top buttons on you shirt.Walk up to "the" guy,sit on his lap, look him in the eye,and ask...Do you wanna wrestle? I'm sure you can get a couple of drinks out of this technique. |

you had me at: "Two martinis, please!" lol
Seriously, I don't think a bar is a place to pick up your soulmate. |

Okok thanks to the decent helpful posts. I never said soulmate did I? And im so glad that the rest of you are so lucky..or liars.

it was a metaphor. You know for polite guys not losers....i can buy my own drinks.

I don't consider myself lucky; if 10 men approach me, 9 of them are beyond disgusting, so I don't think that's really luck.
As for people lying in their responses to you, I doubt if anyone did; no reason to lie, lying to strangers on the internet is um, pointless. Again, best of luck to you. |

and how to attract the ones who ask to buy YOU a drink not the other way around. I have been outta loop to long? Guys are asking you to buy them drinks? See my theory is working. See the thread I made "the rules have changed" http://mingle2.com/topic/show/262817 |

I was referring that everyone has had a bad date. But thank you. I can see now that a lot has changed since I had to date. I dont have a lot of free time being both parents and all that jazz now. But I dont plan on looking to long. Thought the younger single girls here might have a tip or two. Some sort of "this is how to spot a jerk" I was planning on appling anything I learned out with face to face situations.

Unless you are planning on dating someone much younger than you NOTHING has changed.... |

But I dont plan on looking to long. Thought the younger single girls here might have a tip or two. Some sort of "this is how to spot a jerk" I was planning on appling anything I learned out with face to face situations. Here is a few - They talk to you but looking at your body parts instead of looking at you directly - They keep railing the argument towards sex all the time and they might even openly ask you to have sex after the first date -Obviously, if they try to hit you or slap you - umm stay away from those. Other than that, you have to go with your instincts. There are no rules written in stone, if you are unable to filter out the bad ones by yourself, I don't think anyone can help you more than a few ideas, but even those are vaguely accurate or describe fully what the "jerks" are. |
