*In the best Michael Caine voice* Have you ever rented or borrowed a car and when arriving at the gas station wondered...mmm, which side is the gas filler cap?
The normal solution is to stick your head out the window, strain your neck and look, try to see in the side mirrors or even get out of the car! Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to share with you my little secret so you will no longer look like Ace Ventura on your way to the gas station or put your neck at risk of discomfort or injury. If you look at your gas gauge, you will see a small icon of a gas pump The handle of the gas pump will extend out on either the left or right side of the gas pump? If your tank is on the left, the handle will be on the left? If your tank is on the right, the handle will be on the right (see photo). It is that simple! |

Mine doesn't have the little hose... so it has an arrown pointing from the gas pump.
My last serious relationship, he is a mechanic, so I learned it from him. I have had my car less than a year... still have to occassionally look on the dash to remember. |

Hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm what about those cars the gas tank was actually in the rear behind the license plate?
Did I get ya? Heheheh actually never knew that. But growing up could you image me looking where to put the gas in and it was actually in the rear you had to pull the license plate down to find it. I swear I felt so stupid when I found it I had borrowed the car from my dad at the time. I don't think they even put them in the rear any more due to rear end collisions. But ohhh me I looked and looked finally had to ask someone where it was at the station |
