You could stand in a dark room with a candlestick in front of a mirror and practice doing stand up comedy... or acting. It's a way to escape yourself while channeling all of the emotions you're already feeling.
Woah, radical, right? |

in our own unique ways. Usually we're on top of it, yet the moment comes that everything hits hard the first reaction is to go back to to to 'fall safe'. Ever have one of those days when you just feel like crap, want to go bed, under the covers and stay there until you feel better again? Whats your way out? Have those all the time. Music is my escape. Helps me forget. Same here, I crank up the music and it makes me feel better...then I clean clean clean my house...somehow that has a meditative ring to it, then I'm right as rain...for the most part... Hope all gets better for you |

Sometimes going out is necessary, but don't immediately dismiss the comfort and safety of the cave to weather such storms. Thanks Ruth, seems to have been helping. Caves can be just what needed, along with some wise words from people. Sometimes, when we say things...is it that we just need to hear what we already know? Yes, that and verbalizing a thought makes it real. Talking/writing helps. |

Each of us have survived some very rough times in our lives. We will survive until we don't, and then it won't matter anymore.
I'll reflect on the rough times in the past, remember that 'this too will pass' and try to be easy on myself. Getting busy with an activity that can be easy accomplished, like some housekeeping helps. |

LOL @unsure That's a tough one - sorry to hear about your loss. My Dad passed on back in 1988 and I lost my Mom to cancer 3 years ago. It's not always easy, even after all these years. Best wishes to you in the future ! |
