Religious fanatics, as well as fanatics of any sort can be scary. As many of us have seen, the religious fanatics be pushy, preachy and deadly. If that's judging, then oh well.

I don't judge anyone for their views about god. However, when they get in my way, stop me from doing what I'm doing it no longer has anything to do with their beliefs. It's about their actions.

I feel the same way.

Growing up in a Christian church, spreading the good news of Christ is something that you are supposed to want to do. I know that some churches out their take it to extremes. And, I have witnessed to people before, but never did I get into someone's face and tell him/her that they were wrong to not be a Christian, or that they were going to hell for not being a Christian (and yes..I have heard this said before). When I did attend Church, I would invite people to come, and that was all.

I believe in free will to be one of the greatest gifts we have, especially here in the US. Everyone has the right to choose what they believe in. It isn't up to me to decide whom they worship, be it God, Buddha, the sun, a goat, or whatever. However, with free will does come alot....ALOT....of debates, especially when it come down to Creationism vs Evolution. So, I am wise enough to realize that we are always gonna have groups on both sides pushing their own agendas. And that means, fundamentalist fanatics and evolution fanatics will always exist.

I guess it all comes down to us trying to learn to be respectful of each other. When that happens....let me know.

I consider people such as David Ike, Jim Jones and David Koresh and The Jesus Army as fanatics. Being religious should not mean emotional castration, imprisionment or brainwashing.

I'm very allowing of others beliefs...I just find some fanatics feel the need to "save" me......It is my job to fix or save me, not anyone else's.

I realized that they are probally trying to really convince themselves more than another...I start asking questions that really confuse them and they go away sooner than later.

Oh....Christians will turn you into stone...but for the right price, we will un-turn you too.

Reformed hookers, reformed smokers, reformed drunks, reborn christians, they are all a big pita for those of us who like to drink, smoke and fornicate.
