This Anime stuff is scary to me!!!! i know.i can remember watching cartoons with my grandfather every morning and he used to say the same thing every morning "you know, one of these days that coyote is going to catch that road runner!" i don't recall it ever happening but it was a great memory for me |

I did a column on the bugs, daffy, porky, transition to crap when I wrote for a paper. People loved it...too bad it didn't matter

The penny candy store. I could go home every day with five or ten cents and get a licorice or an icecream and a big stick pretzel or those wax candies with liquid inside and chew on the wax afterwards. All this for five or ten cents from the little mom and pop candy store. Plus be able to jump off the very big two foot brick wall outside (ha). I haven't thought about that store for a long time and it was a daily routine during elementary school.

The fact that the neighbors looked out for each other....and each others kids! We couldn't get away with ANYTHING, but we knew we were safe too!
Everyone is so disconnected today ~ we don't even know our neighbors anymore! I wasn't so crazy about it as a kid, but I do miss that sense of community now. |
