Clean as you go ... if you let it pile up till the end, it always looks intimidating :) This is very true, although it helps if the clean dishes are unloaded from the dishwasher first. Also, the most important rule of the kitchen: Unattended cooking food will burn. So many people I've met like to throw something on the stove and go watch tv. That's where you run into trouble. If you're cooking it, keep an eye on it. Well unless you're baking something, then you better make sure you use a timer, not just the clock.
