Some people need a verbal b#tchslapping to jolt them back into reality. Pointing out the obvious doesn't mean its a bad thing. Whether it's insulting or not is of no consequence. The person put their whining rant online, they shouldn't expect everyone to look through the same dim bulb fog and sing kumbaya all the time. Especially when they barely type a coherent post.

so cant resist to leave it alone? is that a reason to insult? because someone may word something differently than you?

1. To show their Superior to you,,(in their minds)=ego

2. To show you they don't care for or about you.= degrade

3. To allow OTHERS to witness THAT,,as in you and them and MORE listening..As a means to show the others how tough or bad they are.
=glorification , ego
4. Because THEY felt YOU insulted THEM.= hurt, embarrassed.

5. They lack the KNOWLEDGE to FEEL or KNOW, it WAS AN INSULT!
=unaware,,not at all, a communicator.

6. Because they feel that you have always talked down to THEM.
=so they do it first, to feel their ONE-UP on this occasion,lol

7. And THIS IS THE TOP OF THE LIST..

BECAUSE THEY KNOW YOU!!!!!!!!

LAST ONE above,lol,,,is THEY WERE PLAY INSULTING, and NOT TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY.....like I just did,wink.

Hurt people tend to try to hurt people. It's just the way they cope with their own problems. I can relate to that, unfortunately. I've tried to hurt others by insulting them because I thought it was the best way to feel better about myself. Human nature is peculiar.

There can be so many different reasons:

Some don't realize they do it, they think they are being funny or whatever.
Some don't care about others feelings because they are too selfish to care.
Some cannot feel superior unless they are knocking others down.
Some actually feel like they are doing you a favor ie telling fat folks about their weight or losing weight or whatever.
Some are jealous and they have no choice but to knock down the object of their jealousy

On the flip side of that some folks are just really overly sensitive too and take EVERYTHING personally. So you end up apologizing to them if you offend them.

Sometimes it is just plain misunderstanding happening between folks.

Some people like to cause drama. Some people insult others to make themselves feel better. Some people insult others to get attention. Some people insult others because they lack social skills. Some are just trying to be funny. There are many reasons.

How easy it is for so many to use emotion, and a few choice expletive curse words to insult someone, but if you must insult someone, and want it to really have a deep burning impact, you will use neither curse words nor emotion in your insult.

Oh good grief.

Most of the responses I have seen here from the ladies would indicate that they would NEVER be able to deal with me and my family.

We throw insults at each other just for the hell of it. We have fun with it. We never say anything truly ' personal '.

Most people don't do it for the hell of it. However, if's easy to tell that's what you're doing and that you're joking around, some ladies may be fine with it.

When I find someone insults others on a regular basis I assume that they are insecure. It is an attempt to make them feel superior to others because they don't on their own. The same goes for people that come off as arrogant-I think insecure immediately.

I hear dat.

I tend to think the same way about people.

When my niece was around 10yo she liked to collect stickers for her notebooks. One time in a phone conversation she said, "Uncle Joel, I really dislike that says "Mean People Suck"........

...Mean people don't suck, they're just HURT!"
