Actually, the quality of a photo *can* be in their control. If it's
out of focus, or what-not, take another (or choose another).

I do photo work on the side, and yes, I always take multiple shots
for portrait sittings. Invariably, there will be one thing about a shot
that isn't quite right, so having multiple shots helps.

If you're taking photos of yourself, use a tripod (borrow one if
you don't have one), or put the camera on a stable surface and
use the camera's timer.

If your only "camera" is your cellphone, then please, have a friend
take the photo so it's composed decently and "shake-free". And
I would recommend against the notorious "myspace photo" - you
know the ones - the camera held up overhead, pointing down :)

sure, the picture counts..however after reading a profile from a great picture, I know there are no common denominators and it doesn't matter at all how cute the picture was.

Ever look at the men in the over 50 group? For some reason over 50 percent do not post pics anymore! Who wants to date a ghost? And their profile says...ask me later..ya right! SEE ya later pal, not.

in most cases people tend to generalize and steriotype.in my case i feel that my stature poses problems at times.

ive had relationships that lasted for years,just as ive had blind dates that lasted a few hours.

case in point.
i met my opayia years ago on a blind date and god knows i saw in her eyes that my hieght was getting on her nerves.

but the more we talked the more she got to know me.
you can't tell from a man's hieght that he's played rugby for 7 years or that he was so adventursome in the past that he supported a back pack on his shoulders and hitch-hiked across north america three times in his youth.

or that a woman with a few extra pounds may be an executive in some great law firm or that she loves fishing and camping.

you can't tell crap from the way a person looks,or a person;s hieght..the only way to really know someone is by talking to them.
and if a man or a woman snubs others by the way that he or she looks then they might be turning away the best thing in thier lives..
