made my second batch of fudge today....from scratch, and I don't mean 'scratch the box'..lol.. the recipe I used called for half a pound of VELVETA CHEESE. I've never heard of cheese in fudge before. have any of you ??

Yes there is a cheese fudge, it's wonderful.If you check the web for Swiss Colony Stores you can find it there in Wisconsin.

Little fact about "Velveta" cheese. Take a slice & put it on a deck railing or some place where animals & bugs can get at it. NOTHING but man will eat it. NO nutrition in it, all chemical. I quit eating it, several years ago. Subsitute real cheese & get a better taste.

Not saying "throw it out"; I would just use real cheese. I enjoy cheese, just won't eat that brand anymore. I used to really enjoy velveta with Pace salsa, now I use real cheese.

Never seen a recipe that real cheese didn't improve the taste. But that is just me.

And when you shop for cheese look for the real sign most are made up out of biproducts.
