We did a similar thing with popcorn and made "candy popcorn"
We used the equiv. of 5 bags of microwave popcorn. 1 cup sugar 6 tablespoons light karo 1 stick butter 6 drops food coloring 3 drops flavoring (we used vanilla or peppermint) I cooked the first 3 until boiling and then on medium heat for another 5 minutes stirring constantly. Then took off heat and added the flavor and color. Then it went onto the popped corn and stirred good, then into the oven on 250 for 45 minutes, stirring every 15. It was delish! |
