So let me get this straight....

So simple, even a cave man could understand it...

This health care plan will be written by a committee whose head says he
doesn't understand it, passed by a Congress that hasn't read it and whose members will be exempt from it, signed by a president who smokes, funded by a treasury chief who did not pay his taxes, overseen by a surgeon general who is obese, and financed by a country that is dead broke.

…what could possibly go wrong?

I agree. If they don't understand then why vote for it? I still don't get (if this is still in it) the fines for not having health care. some people needs every penny of their check and that is why they don't have health care, so fining them for that is right?

I think we need something, but this isn't the answer IMO

Well, and don't forget the issue of the extra $$$ we (you and I) are having to pay...even with the hard times that America is seeing, for the larger jet liner for the speaker of the house to use, to go home in! The larger one is because she don't want to have to stop to refuel!

My question too, is if the Demo's think it is such a good program, why are they exempt to any of the laws that it carries? Why aren't they put under the same "roof" as the rest of us?

There is a cure to this whole mess that the Demos have created...it's called impeachment, or "not to re-elect"!!

Impeach Obama??? Well, if we didn't impeach George W Bush for his war crimes, why would we impeach Obama for trying to pass a health care billwhat what what I agree this isn't sounding to good but something has to be done. I don't have a solution. Pretty sad that the greatest country in the world has people starving and living in poverty with no health insurance:cry:

The reason they voted without reading is the same as always-PAYOLA. Special interests of all sorts got money from this unconstitutional disaster.

I think Obama wanting the health care reform is a good thing.

Clinton's mistake was in making the program without input from congress. they felt like their toes were stepped on and shot it down out of spite

Obama's mistake was to do the opposite and gave it all to congress. and they turned it into a mess of special interest kickbacks and pet projects

now the conservatives want to kill the bill cause it makes too much big government, the liberals want to kill it cause it doesnt make enough. and the majority of american people don't understand the need to fix a system that they are generally happy with

ok what about small businesses? I have been a book keeper and have done payroll for small businesses. They are barely making it. If they are forced to offer health care, wouldn't that cause some pay cuts, layoffs, business to close, bankruptcy, etc? How would this help the economy?

It could very well increase the final product/service cost to the consumer!

With the economy as it is...where is it to end?

You, like myself, would look for a better bargain, because we don't have that much to spend anymore!

So, if we're not buying, because the price has been increased to cover the business expense...then they are not selling...now what???

good point. I had forgotten the cost increase to compensate for the added health care.

Don't get me wrong....I think we need something but this isn't it and I can't help but think this will hurt us more than help us.

so if a person can't afford to pay the fine...do they get locked up?? If they do then the jails will be even more crowded. and I can't see it being criminal to not be able to afford healthcare

Sen Griffith

"I believe our nation is at a crossroads and I can no longer align myself with a party that continues to pursue legislation that is bad for our country, hurts our economy, and drives us further and further into debt," Griffith said as his wife Virginia stood by his side.

If you notice what the senator said...he didn't name Obama. He said the party meaning the Democrats.

huh!noway You always struck me as more of a Federalist than a nationalist. I'd think you would prefer local or State level regulation/oversight of healthcare than any sort of Federal program.

Tanning beds are known to cause skin cancer. That is VERY expensive to treat.

I have no issue with them adding a tax to it IF that tax goes for the care of those who get skin cancer from using them.

How many people who use a tanning bed use sunblock???
