I'm very conservative with money lately. Have plenty of the old-(crap) bulb christmas lights, but since they still work just fine I used them. I also have the icicle thing for the roof, but it won't go up this year.
This is how it's gonna stay. ![]() |

I would tell her to "Get over it" and take them back herself!! I can't stand when people won't change for the better. Do you have an aging relative and would you really treat him/her like this....??? |

The box I read said a 90% savings on electric. I'd have bought them, but I only needed one strand to replace an old one and these were, at the time, twice the price over the old kind. Will pick up after Xmas for next year.

I know. I think they're pretty cool, but it must be subjective and personal to a lot of people, despite the fact that they are popular, use less energy, last longer, and don't break as easily as the old kind do. I mean, it's just a light! ![]() But if they do break - handle clean up with care! That is the one thing we who use them must all remember. And remember to recycle them! As many of you know I recently moved, purposely did not pack any of my old bulbs intending to do whole house is new ones....got close to goal but a few of these ancient fixtures just wouldn't take new bulbs! I hope they keep coming out with more sizes!!!! |
