Topic: Never Married And Please No Kids!!! | |
---|---|
I really don't get the "never married" part -- sometimes it's fun to
compare notes with another person on just how awful a previous marriage was -- and mine usually wins (being the target of a murder attempt by your in-laws usually trumps inequities in a divorce settlement!) -- but how could I realistically expect that a potential partner might not have been married, when I myself have been? Seems like a bit of a double standard. Maybe if he himself has never been married, then at least there's no double standard there, but I think a LOT of people go through a bad marriage (or six) before they're really ready to work on a relationship. I can sort of identify with the guy, though, on some level. I've been looking for someone with no kids, who doesn't drink, and I'm not sure that combination even exists.... |

Funny how it sounds as if those prefencence are far and few between.
Because , since being on a Dating Sites I have been amazed at how many men I have ran across that are in there early 40's to there late 40's that have never been married or had kids and are ready now for both. So even tho it does sound far fetched it really is not all that un common now for the ones even in there 40's that has still not taken the step in marriage or kids. |

Never Married and no kids are very rare these days...
To each their own preferences... I wish him luck. |

yes a lot of men feel this way, but its usually those that have never
been married themselves. There are women between 35 and 45, that have never been married and have no kids. |

I have to agree with native girl.....people have a hard enough time
trying to find the right partner. I wonder if this guy has a pad of paper and pen and checks his list |

Its one thing if the guy had made a thread about this, but to read his profile and create a thread to blast him is stupid and petty, cmon! |

I've never been married and I have no kids and I'm almost 40. Of course
that was by choice, (and no, I'm not a nun). I think each person has the right to his/her own opinions and preferences when it comes to selecting a partner. If I were actively looking for a partner myself, I'd prefer a nice guy with a big heart who could read and write fluent English and could make me laugh like there was no tomorrow. IMHO, guys like that are few and far between, so I've stopped looking for now. I'd rather stick to chocolate, it is always sweet and always satisfying. :) |

Everyone has standards, although IMHO if you set your standards too
high, you're likely to miss out on some really great people who might just be perfct for you. The same caveat applies to those who set their standards too low. |
