Topic: The Ten Year Question - yes, you can sleep tonight | |
---|---|
It took me a decade to answer what a stranger indirectly asked me... but it's time to share, I guess.
"Can't we just go sleep tonight?" And, yeah, of course... 'Baby, goodnight.' "But you're not coming?" 'I'll hit the light.' You'll lay in bed. I'll lay uptight. Wait by the window for the light. Hope the store won't seek my sight. Oh, open up. I need the bottle. Little, baby boy, to coddle. Like my son I'll never have. I shake and twitch against the wall. "Can't we just go sleep tonight?" "Come, hit the lights, forget it all." You used to say the sex, it hurt. But all that red hair hurt me too. And now my veins are purplish blue. No, not me; you know I do... wish, god, I could just sleep tonight. |

Sleep, the body's way of refreshing itself. Dreams, the mind's way of awakening thoughts.Pancakes, this write is provocative, nicely penned.
