I don't know it for a fact but I think if you want to block someone with out them emailing you you could ask the Mods to handle it.

Can always ignore them in forums. Might take a while but after so long with no response most give up.

Anyone that takes it off line I would get real serious real fast and formally tell them by Registered mail to leave you alone. Tell the public services officer at your county or state police department. They generally take it serious and will close patrol. One time they see a stalker they will usually make it clear to stay away.

I had one a few years ago, back when I was still stupid enough to go in yahoo chat rooms. Long story short, he lied about who he was, I stopped talking to him, so he started stalking me. It was weird, he had like 100 accounts and every time I blocked one of them he'd contact me with another one. Finally, I just deleted my account to get rid of him.
