My Tethered Face

I sit here writing from the mind of a peaceful man
It's because the hour has come that forces my faith
Enlightenment seeps through my molded skin
What has come has long been gone, my life is my own
Knowing now we are all brothers and sisters, and part of the universe
I can no longer frown, only smiles abound my tethered face
Bringing myself to new sempiternity frees my mind
Peering into my soul, and actually fancying the view
Denouncing all the dread, my clouds do have a silver lining
My heart has opened, it is alive again, understanding a whole lot more
No barriers in my way, I have broken through them all
Bring them on I have no fear, in the bottom of my heart my strength is born
I store my love and it will always remain, unconditional, untouchable, irreversible
My soul mates look for me, as I look to them for the wisdom to tell them apart
I gather all my voids, the whole now very small, only a single tear is shed
Taking my time it's all downhill now, rolling into the remnant of my life
Adsorbing the special looks from the eyes of a friend,
Being able to see those looks when you need them most
My heart is of extraordinary size, it cannot beat without distress, this I have accepted
To smile, to love, to feel a feeling, to touch a heart, to have my heart touched, to live to love
