Topic: restarting from "boot to disc drive" | |

Currently, my Acer laptop restarts to Windows. I need it to reboot to the CD drive so that I can run my recovery discs...any idea on how to achieve this?

Right when you boot on your Laptop, keep pushing the Delete button till the Bios menu comes up. Look for Boot Sequence or something like that. That should do the trick.

Arcbound is partially right, some Board/Bios it is Delete, some it is F2, F5 or F8, some it is Insert, some it is Tab, some it is something else. If you look at the OEM splash screen (the first screen you see when you turn it on) it will tell you which key to press. Or you can try some of those mentioned and see what happens. Another thing you can try is to let it start booting into Windows then force it off by holding the power button for 10 seconds and it will come up to the OS choices menu, which will let you get to the Boot options menu and CD/DVD is on that Boot options menu.
