We lost one of our greatest entertainers in the history of music on June 25th, 2009. What did Michael mean to you in your life? I will always miss Michael and he was one of my heroes.

i remember watching him as a little kid, he broke the color barrier in a sense, and i think he try to change to prove that he wasnt just another person, he changed himself before he try to change others haha kinda like man in the mirror

The guy publicly touched his crotch a lot!!!!! and was always singing about beating it. The whole Neverland thing was pretty creepy as well. shocked

Naw, regardless of all that, he made some pretty catchy tunes I grew up listening to. I respect him for his music. RIP Michael

I heard "the way you make me feel" at work & it's been stuck in my head all day. He lives on through his music

..i remember when i was young the song Ben,and Neverland to me seemed to be symbolic,of the boy as a man who finally had a chance to be a child in a world unlike the one he grew up in...R.I.P M.J

I was a fan of MJ's music growing up. He was an amazing singer and performer - his music is entertaining to me even now. His songs mark times in my life as I was growing up - that I remember vividly while listening to his music. His talent and ability impressed me, his talent inspired me to grow and attempt to be more tomorrow than I am today. There are several artists/musicians that I experienced during this time of my life - they all have this same affect on me.

Music is a wonderful thing, I think the poeple that make music, art and/or play sports at a high level are amazing, inspiring... musicians/performers...athletes...artists...

I did not know him personally, I am sad to see what his personal life was about, I do not model my behavior directly from these artists or their personal behavior - but they will all remain important "time stamps for emotions" for me - likely until I die...

Yes, he was, and it's good to see that some people truly understand the talent and compassion of the man. Yes he had a Peter Pan complex, but we all know who to thank for that, Joe. I wished I could have been his friend, I don't know how a man with so much money and love to give, could feel so alone. But it happens. Money does not necessarily bring happiness. Look what happened to Heath Ledger.

I remember when he started out...he was just a year older than me. He was part of my childhood. I never moved into the pop sound, but was always amazed at what he kept coming up with.

Heal The World
USA For Africa
Earth Song
Man In The Mirror
Have You Seen My Childhood

He was a tortured angel, and a beautiful spirit.

Nothing. He was damaged goods and that money he had should have been spent on therapy.

I also felt it amazing that even in the MIDST of such horrible accusations and even when others turned on him,he continued to give and seemed to continue to believe in people. A wonderful example for all...

That's the nicest way anyone has ever said "No matter how many times he got sued, he kept molesting kids" that I've ever seen.

He kept GIVING to the very people who made the accusations, which they never proved, (I think because they werent true). That is the ultimate show of forgiveness.

It can't be considered generosity when the giving is court ordered.

I loved Michael Jackson since I was a little boy and I still respect him. He had a rough life and pulled through to be one of the most successful artists of all time. His vocal range was amazing too and I feel a lot of the allegations against him were false as everyone was after everything he had. I remember I use to have a Michael Jackson barbie doll like toy wish I still had it. Wish he was still alive too!
