Ok, last thread for tonight, I'm sorry I'm clouding the forum! Lol.

I will try to make a long story short. I lived in a place called Palmdale. I lived in Palmdale for 8 years. I work in Santa Clarita. Its a 1 hour drive from Palmdale to Santa Clarita. Killer commute isn't it? Lol. I moved to Canyon Country, a place in Santa Clarita region, about 15 minutes away from work. I moved to Canyon Country November 7, 2009. (Yes I'm a newbie!)

Here I am, saving money, living a heck of a lot closer to work and living in a nicer area. I have some friends in Palmdale, but not in Canyon Country. There are grocery stores, a mall, a theatre, bars, etc. There are no night clubs. The closest night club in in Hollywood. I discovered this when I was Googleing any kind of dance floor in Santa Clarita. I love to dance, its my favorite thing to do, so yeah. ;)

I can drive to Palmdale to hang with my friends, but its harsh on my car. (1999 Nissan Altima, 352,000 miles on it, all-original engine) I have gas money, its just a matter of if my car wants to keep going. It runs like a champ. If it breaks, I'm pretty much screwed. ;)

What's a good place to meet new people? I mean, not just for dating, but people in general. I also typed this story to prove that I have more valid points than excuses.

Open your own club. Bartenders and DJs get all the womens.

There is a site called meetup dot com. You should check it out if you are not finding people with the same interests as you in your area. Type in your zip code and a bunch of different "meet ups" are listed. It's everything from Single parents to Animal Activists to Kung fu. Plus a lot of the things are free.

Bartenders especially, cause they gets to pour the ladies drinks, and flirt like hell, and call it part of their job.

Beware Lizard people

I have had so many guys ask me this question. I'll tell you what I do whenever I'm in a new town. I walk up to any attractive woman I see and say "Hey, you look like a fun, social person. I'm new in town and wondering where the cool night spots are around here. Do you know any?"

Doing that accomplishes two goals. One, you met someone new. Two, you found out where the hot spots in town are.

Are you kidding me??? I live in Palmdale and I have lived in Santa Clarita. Santa Clarita has way more to do than here in the AV. The AV has nothing. Except Schooners.

You are also very close to the San Fernando valley which has tons of places, although you do have to be more careful down there.
