Excellent! Ya' know, Brian Eno did some great variations on this composition on the second side of his album Discreet Music. It's very interesting and something you should check out.

My favorite Bach cantata. Thanx! Great version!

Another favorite of mine is Claude DeBussey, French composer. His works were inspired by the oceans and the sea. Claire De Lune is my favorite, as is Le Mer (literally translated from French means The Sea). Beautiful stuff.

One thing about diggin' classical is that at some point ya' gotta' get familiar with Opera. I'm an ex-punk rocker...so this was a very strange twist in my musical indulgences. I heard a Puccini Opera and though I couldn't understand a single thing they were sayin' I was, like, "I'm totally with YOU!" It's actually pretty cool stuff.

I had to look it up
a cellist in a metropolitan symphony (a la Philadelphia, Chicago, or LA) makes anywhere from $30,000 to $100,000 depending on chair and city |

This morning it's all about Igor Stravinski. Fire-Bird Suite is beautiful. At this very moment though I'm listening to Le Sacre du printemps (Rite of Spring)...the HEAVIEST music I ever heard...
