Topic: Do you have any lucky charms? | |

Tons of them.
My personal favorite is a pair of everyday small gold hoops that my grandmother wore. I put them on for courage and luck and comfort. I generally wear a pair of small diamond studs from my ex. They are screwback and have worn them most every day since I got them in 2000. However, I had changed earrings for some function then was missing my Bubi (Yiddush for grandmother) and put them on. I was wearing them when I harassed my director at work for a permanent job. I had been on contract for 9 months and needed insurance. Needless to say, he asked me to give him a week and I had an offer letter in 2 days. We all make our own luck, but it can't hurt to have a little help. |

I am not sure that they are 'lucky' but I have two possessions that
would leave me feeling out of balance somehow if I lost them... The first is a beautiful piece of turquoise shale that I brought with me from Alberta...it measures 32 inches long, 12 inches high and 5 inches thick. It was as big a piece as I could carryIt feels grounding in my space. The second is a wonderful piece of bark that I salvaged while walking in the mountains near my home. Many trees infected with the pine beetle had to be cut down. This piece of bark is beautifully, architecturally sculptural in nature. Richly textured ... measuring 22 inches tall to the peak, 18 wide and 1.5 inches thick. It seems to bring balance to my space. Maybe they are lucky |

My mothers diamond earrings that she gave to me before she passed on. I
only take them off to clean them. I also carry a piece of Apache Tear, a piece of Malachite & a marble in my pocket {just in case I feel as if I am about to lose my last marble, I know exactly where it is}. I also wear a sterling silver chain with 3 symbols of my philosophical inclinations. And all 8 of my tattoos have special & significant meaning behind them. Peace, love & wisdom |

I have a medallion that reminds where I came from and where I do not
wish to return. It reminds that there are doors that I do not wish to go into. To me welcome mats can be decieving. |

I have a heart shaped stone. It was given to me when I left Germany to
live here in Ireland. It is sort of a worry stone, and sometimes it comes in quite handy. |

I still think it tastes better with milk but it isn't really that bad
when you eat it out of the box. What I really have trouble with is Captain Crunch. |

I remember this box of cereal that had a prize in it. I poured it all
over the table to try to get the prize out. Later in life I discovered Cracker Jacks. |
