KEIZER, Ore. -- A 21-year-old man died Wednesday morning after he was shot at a Keizer apartment complex, according to police.

Travis Calvin Clawson was shot just after 10 p.m. Tuesday night at the entrance of the Partridge Lane Apartments.

Clawson was transported to Salem Hospital but died overnight.

"I just heard 'bam bam, bam' and I thought someone was messing, then I realized it had to be gunshots," said neighbor Ron Sims.

When police arrived, they found the shooting victim, and used K-9 dogs to search for a suspect.

One neighbor said he saw two cars speeding away. Neighbors also told KGW they see patrol cars going through this area quite frequently.

An autopsy by state medical examiners was scheduled for later Wednesday.

That is really sad. So young they just don't get it then it is over!!!!
