Yep! Driving home on rough road with fresh crisp air, pure white going home to a nice warm fireplace, a little wine or cocoa, snuggling, hmmm yep, I like winter:big smile:

Yes, driving home with cars sliding left and right, people jumping out beside their cars, leaving their car doors opened,
Ten mile down-grade as ICE just formed on it,,,,my trailer sliding WHERE it wants to,,,,,,My fuel lines freezing closed,my engine not wanting to start, DEER standing right in front of your headlights,,looking so unaware of the seven inches of new snow we are both on,,,,,ahhhh yes,,,,winter,,,,,,wink, lol, lol

laugh laugh

back in the day warming up the keys just to unlock your frozen door, yep, still like it.

i had this experience when my car turned 90/360 degrees ( i was working evening shift )got soooo scared.. BTW..my car is like a chapel in the winter time with all the different rosaries and saints...i went back to my hospital and slept in the cafeteria/chapel and waited for the morning and roads to be clear.....

The first few heavy snows....the world is new and all white, the sky's are gray/white. It is quiet...so quiet. The world is empty of everything. The snow is water that will fed the Earth and the tress and plants that Spring will bring. Looking across the bay, I am amazed at how differently it speaks to me. Some days it speaks of deep, deep cold, bone chilling...yet life is continuing underneath the ice.
Some days it speaks of Death....of emptiness beyond the cold grave.

Winter speaks to me of long nights....time for withdrawal from activities and time for contemplation.

But by Mid-feb....man I am so tired of being cold, bad roads, cold and snow and ice, and did I mention the cold?

I despise winter when I have to stand outside in a snowstorm to smoke during work, or deal with idiot people who are apparently incapable of cleaning snow off their cars before they get on a highway.

BUT...cuddling on a cold night is the most wonderful thing in the world. Playing in the snow is still one of my favorite things to do. And it's just so damn pretty to look at before you actually have to deal with it.

WINTER?????????

 I despise it,,,,,lol

I despise it as well, it wrecks my sleep...seems this is the only time of the year that I manages to hang on to my otherwise unwanted insomnia. Makes for good music nights sure, but I would rather be sleeping.

We go between Kansas, Washington, D.C. and Florida...trying to find the good weather! laugh
Seems like it's always good to see the next season...whether Winter, Summer, Spring or Fall!
I must admit I don't like driving in icy weather...Christmas in Kansas...then heading south!happy

 To be REAL,,I think you painted a very true work of art here, wink,,,, as, I to have felt and watched this...

When I was 19 and proving to my self I was able to be my own man, wink,
I moved up to Warsaw,IN. and got a job as a grinder in a steel mill,,they had many frozen lakes there.
On the weekends I didn't know anyone there and was to young to drink,,,,so I bought me some ice skates,,,and it was sooooo
cool to go out on a dead silent night about 11pm,,,and take off on them skates,,,,,the only sounds were the blabes skimming along under my feet.
I would run on tip toe, as fast as I could, then squat down and GLIDEEEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Ah,,,that was THEN,,,,,,blaw,blaw,,,,lol,lol
