Became interested about 16 years ago. I dated someone who is Pagan, and met some of his friends, and became friends with them. Eventually became a student in their rather ecclectic teaching coven. The coven has since been disbanded, Steve and I broke up, and several of us, including myself, have moved away, but I'm still proudly Pagan. And ceremonies aren't neccessary. You can celebrate the Earth and the Gods and Goddesses without getting to formal or ceremonial.

I always felt that I wasn't the same as everyone else in my family. I have always had this feeling in my heart that the religion I was being taught was a little off for me. As I got older and developed my own mind I started to research different religions to find one that would fit my beliefs and how I felt inside. I was told that in a past life that I was a witch that was burned at the steak and that is why I find it very hard for me to be willing to comeforth and about my religion. I have been following my path now for about 9 years.

I am Wicca since 2 years. The important thing is that you study carefully your path, because more than spells, inusual clothing or special instruments, it's a way of life.

How can one conform to one religion?
It does not make sense in my mind. There are so many unique aspects to spirituality. How can one declare that one male god rules when gods are made and destroyed at will by humans. Maybe I am just weird. ![]() The beauty is in the exploration. The beauty is in the discovery. Who knows what new aspects of the divine and humanity will be unleashed through a page or a thought or a question? I search around. I'm still searching. I will never stop. Paganism is something I explore. Who knows what I will find? |

But then Religion and Spirituality are different. |

But then Religion and Spirituality are different. Totally. |

Hi everyone, I discovered (or was dragged into) Wicca about 21 years ago. After I moved to Ireland I started to realise it just didn't fit here and started to question it more. I was contacted by a group of hereditaries and invited to share ideas with them. So I call myself Irish Pagan now but I have kept up my Traditional Witch type magic. I just do it without the gods as I now am confident that it comes from me, not them. Am I making any sense?
Anyway, its great to know there is a healthy Pagan community around here and maybe I'll get to know some of you a bit better. Brian |

Get the "witches bible" and "the rites of oden" The Rites of Odin is pretty good, if you are looking for cookie-cutter, already made up stuff. I am still looking into some of the runic diagrams the book is using as to whether its made up by the author or actually legit. I'm a tad turned off by Witch's Bible as the authors have been brought up on the cultish sexuality, underage type of thing. Again, still doing some deeper research on that, but just for everyone's awareness. |

I don't know anything about The Rites of Odin, but I have to agree about the Witch's Bible. I am completely turned off for the same reason.

What can I do to let this new religion into my heart? Let got of your entire belief system, everything you think you know... |
