I had a RN tell me a couple of months ago she wasn't going to get the flu shot, and didn't think it was such a good idea. She works in a hospital.
Since then the 2 people I know whom gotten them have gotten sick within 36 hrs.
Any input on this?

If you get sick after the shot that just means it was already in your system. You were prob going to get sick anyway. The shot just kinda helped it out.

I know a few who get sick after..they keep getting it anyway. I haven't had the shot my entire adult life..I have had the flu maybe 3 times in the past ten years. No shots for me or my boys.

i jus had the internasal flu vaccine thing done, im not sick yet but im nervous! hopefully itll jus get out my system

I dont usually get sick- If I do It doenst last too long.
No plans to get any shots for me or my kids.
My son is 18 and he doesnt want it either.

With any of the flu shots ( H1N1 or seasonal ) you have a chance of getting ill. The virus is in your body and you have to build anit-bodies to fight it. That is suppose to make you less likely to get a worse case, deadly version of the flu if and when you are exposed to it.

The flu shot is a government conspiracy,they are shooting tracking devices into people....

The same people who write prescriptions for drugs that cause suicidal thoughts, depression, anxiety, stomach ulcers and a ____ load of other side effects are advising the use of the flu shot. Are these people you would trust to guide you the right way? Eat right, exercise and get plenty of rest. Say NO to drugs.

I get the seasonal flu shot every year and have yet to get the flu from the shot..

I'm one that gets the flu every year so yes I do what I can to prevent it from being more serious.

The times I have not gotten the shot I have actually had sever cases of the flu.

So is the shot.. any vaccine you get is a live virus. That's how you build up immunity to it. You only get sick after one if the virus was already in your system!

they grow the virus in eggs (seems like a archaic 20th century thing to me)

and then they irradiate the virus to kill it

but the proteins and amino acids are still present and that is what the body reacts against to build immunities

and sometime the proteins and amino acids can trick the body to react as if it were being attacked by an massive infection. So you get all the symptoms of flu without actually having the flu


Viruses are weird and scary forms of life. We have no cure for viruses whatsoever. Most cells have RNA and DNA but viruses only have one or the other. Then they grab a living cell and combine their RNA with the cells DNA and force the cell to create new viruses. almost like a cancer
