Common sense before butterflies.
As long as you are smart about who you date then -- of course -- you can find a wonderful person. 
It's better to be single than with the wrong person. Center yourself, develop yourself and the rest is gravy. You will be alone but not lonely. 
Every person is unique and is "a guy/girl like me".

I spend a weekend a month at PAWS (The Performing Animal Welfare Society) mending fences, mixing feed and shoveling poop! Once you have shoveled poop from an elephant for free -- no one can really call you high maintenance!

Just a little forum help: when you quote someone and want to reply, start typing after the very last "/quote" command so your reply is not in the grey area. It' difficult to sift through all of the posts and your message may get lost in the mix. If there a lot of quotes, you may have to scroll down a bit -- but start all the way at the bottom after all the previous typing.
I hope you find what you are looking for BTW. Just be patient!
