TMI about your ex! The fact that you even mention her in a dating profile is a red flag to drama. There is no reason to mention your ex in a dating profile. The words "grow up" come to mind when I see that type of essay. Really, nobody cares and it will drive away the ones that might be interested.

Your profile is a way to market yourself. Keeping personal details about family and kids (if you are a breeder) omitted until you start to date someone seriously is a good formula. For now, be selfish in how you present yourself. Dating should be fun and only between “you and her".

Otherwise, your profile isn't bad. I did notice a contradiction though. You say a good first date is going to the movies so you can talk. Um, you can't talk at the movies! Movies are notoriously bad 1st-5th dates. Just my opinion ... go indoor rock climbing instead!
