Who believes this is the end as we know it? The REAL end of the world will come when I meet a guy that doesn't flip out on me..When that happens I will let y'all know so you can hide under the bed..lol. |

nah.
the real end of the world will come when people finally stop making frivolous end of world predictions based on innocuous number patterns in the calender dates. the day that people just say "aww, f#ck it..." is when everything will blow up. |

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and snakes, an aeroplane -
Lenny Bruce is not afraid. Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world serves its own needs, regardless of your own needs. Feed it up a knock, speed, grunt no, strength no. Ladder structure clatter with fear of height, down height. Wire in a fire, represent the seven games in a government for hire and a combat site. Left her, wasn't coming in a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck. Team by team reporters baffled, trump, tethered crop. Look at that low plane! Fine then. Uh oh, overflow, population, common group, but it'll do. Save yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs, listen to your heart bleed. Tell me with the rapture and the reverent in the right - right. You vitriolic, patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty psyched. It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine. Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign tower. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself churn. Lock him in uniform and book burning, blood letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate. Light a candle, light a motive. Step down, step down. Watch a heel crush, crush. Uh oh, this means no fear - cavalier. Renegade and steer clear! A tournament, a tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions, offer me alternatives and I decline. It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine. The other night I tripped a nice continental drift divide. Mount St. Edelite. Leonard Bernstein. Leonid Breshnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You symbiotic, patriotic, slam, but neck, right? Right. It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it. It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine...fine... (It's time I had some time alone) |

It's 12.21.2012...not the 12th. All it will be is the beginning of a new b'ak'tun according to Mayan ideology, there is no "end of it all" prediction...the Mayan calendar simply doesn't continue after that date, nothing more, nothing less. Exactly!!! |

This 12-21-2012 date is the winter solstice..the day the sun is farthest from the earth.. |

I believe it's supposed to be 12/23/2012 but no, I don't believe it although if you look at the mayan studies, it is crazy that some natural disaster has happened...that they've documented all kinds of events for a very long time and figured out time and the years by watching the stars and figuring out which constelations were where throughout the seasons and hours. They were pretty intelligent in ways...but if anyone thinks religiously, the bible says the end will come like a thief in the night...no one will know or be predicting it especially by a specific date. And for those who don't believe in God, well...mankind always predicts something bad to happen...it's only natural to expect the worst especially when looking back and seeing some sort of pattern in nature. People are still here though...why would THIS time be the end?

I have a friend who just got back from Peru..he spent a month in the jungle drinking the "jungle vine" with the Shaman... The present-day Maya, as a whole, do not attach much significance to 2012. Although the calendar round is still used by some Maya tribes in the Guatemalan highlands, the Long Count was strictly employed by the classic Maya, and was only recently rediscovered by archaeologists. Mayan elder Apolinario Chile Pixtun and Mexican archaeologist Guillermo Bernal both note that "apocalypse" is a Western concept that has little or nothing to do with Mayan beliefs. Bernal believes that such ideas have been foisted on the Maya by Westerners because their own myths are "exhausted". Mayan archaeologist Jose Huchm complains that, "If I went to some Mayan-speaking communities and asked people what is going to happen in 2012, they wouldn't have any idea. That the world is going to end? They wouldn't believe you. The "end of the world" concept comes from radical Christians who are waiting for Jesus..and the radical New Age Groups. Has nothing to do with the Maya or the calender. |

I'm more worried about April 13, 2036. That's the day the giant asteroid may hit us.

pfft...just like Y2K... The only reason Y2K didn't happen was because a lot of computer people worked very hard to make sure it didn't. |

If 2012 happens then I welcome it, point me in the direction of ground zero. Otherwise this human race will go on suffering for another 1000 or more years. I've looked evil in the eye and I'm no longer afraid, bring it on!
