I didn't have heroes then and I don't now. "Hero" status is fantasy based: Superman, Batman, and Underdog I look up to and respect people with a good heart, integrity, bravery, ambition, intelligence kindness, and who live by the Golden Rule. I aspire to find friends who possess these qualities and I try as well. Some people define heroes in terms of their job. While I admire and honor soldiers, firefighters and law enforcement, I don’t categorize them as heroes. Most of the people IN those positions DO NOT consider themselves heroic both because that is their career -- and they are not superhuman. I feel strongly that most people in the aforementioned careers do things many others will not do; however, I still don’t immortalize them as heroes. We have super-citizens that CANNOT leap tall buildings in a single bound, but they can save a kitty from a tree! I guess I'm not into false expectations and over-sensationalizing flesh and blood. once again you have managed to type up my thoughts exactly HI Isn't it spooky when I can read your thoughts from waaaay over here?? really eh...what am i thinking now |

I'll bring the champagne! Shall we meet in Vegas because there are no cool "in the middle" locations between us. |

an underdog that defies the odds then.......
and an underdog that defies the odds now. it could be anyone at any given time, that a person shows integrity, and takes the future or problem in to their own hands and deals with it. most of us at a given time become a hero at one time or another. one has to decide how much they want to take on, and it's not about wanting to be a hero, it's about doing what's right, and exemplifying that change. i am exempt from this, i am not, or have ever been a hero, nor will i ever be. i am just a dream to some, and a nightmare to others. |
