In Maryland, you make more money getting the maximum from unemployment than you do working 40 hrs earning minimum wage. Working is perceived as more ethical, but if you don't make as much money what is the point? Exactly! That would be petty stupid actually. If you are on unemployment use your time to hone your skills and in the job search. That money that is drawn as unemployment is not some gift. That money has been set aside by yourself and your former employer for this reason. Now if your unemployment runs out that is a different story. Take whatever you can at that point.......
