Do you think obama is doing a good job?

Could I get a definition, and place of origin of "good job"?

He has barely been in a year and everything he does is all in connotation of your political preferences

we won't really know if he accomplished anything until a few years AFTER he has been President

after looking at his presidency with the objectiveness of history then we'll be able to tell what he did good and bad, right and wrong

EDIT: same with Bush too, it's too soon to tell what he did right and wrong too

Yes. We need the public health option.

Which is NOT what this plan will wind up being.

As I have pointed out before...

There will be a fine for any business that doesn't offer insurance. However, the fine will be less, monetarily, than the costs of the health insurance they would offer.

Any CEO worth his pay grade is going to realize that it's much cheaper to pay the fine than it is to offer the insurance.

The employees, meanwhile, will be fined if they don't buy insurance.

Then there will be no " option " for the employees.

I still maintain that, rather than have our inept, corrupt government try to run the health care business ( after all...just look at the bang up job they have done running the auto industry ) just allow the insurance companies to actually COMPETE with each other.

The more competition there is, the further prices fall. It's simple economics. Supply and demand would seem to be a pretty simple thing to grasp, but the Dems just don't seem to understand the entire concept.

I didnt realize insurance companies werent already competing. I know when I look online for quotes I get any number of companies come back for my business....

Insurance companies, due to regulations, are not allowed to compete across state lines.

There may be several companies in your state, but if, for example, you live in Michigan, you wouldn't be able to get a quote from a company in New York.
Wrong. I just got insurance from someplace in New York and I live in Colorado.

What do the dems feel? I noticed liberals mentioned and republicans but nothing on the dems.

I'm not sure america can make new jobs simply because as soon as they do, immigrants that will work cheaper than americans will get the jobs.

The stimulus package was ok, i'm sure it helped some of the people.

you mean the stimulus bill that was written by the Apollo Alliance? It sure did help the sex studies dept at Syracuse who, thanks to the stimulus bill, are getting to study the sex lives of freshmen females..

Now that's stimulus!

Ok. Point taken. My mistake.

However, take a quick look at how many companies are allowed to do business in your state.

My bet is that it's a pretty limited number.
