Clinton was the only one of the cheating presidents put on trial for their personal affairs.

Isn't it funny that when a cheating conservative gets caught, he needs the prayers of the other conservatives for being only human. Yet, when a cheating non-conservative is caught, it's 'grab your pitchforks' and 'those who vote for cheaters are as morally bankrupt as the cheater' (even though the vote preceded the revelation).

I never said anything about offering prayers for conservatives souls for their transgressions..

I don't think I've ever heard a harsh word uttered on this board against Speaker of the House Gingrich, who many seem to idolize as the Moses of the New Conservative movement. What, don't conservatives have a problem with a spouse who cheats on his wife who has cancer unless he's a Democrat?

And do we even have to go into the Sen. Ensign affair? Or Governor Sanford? Why no clever little double entendres about them or Gingrich?

EC: Crime, corruption grave problems in Kosovo

BRUSSELS -- A grave concern in Kosovo is crime and corruption, money laundering and the deficit in the rule of law, states the European Commission’s latest report.

The EC does, however, state that political stability has been preserved. “Certain progress has been made in adopting laws and strengthening administrative capacity,” notes the document seen by Beta.

"Local authorities’ capacities are weak,” says the report on implementing EU standards and reforms, which will be officially published today, stressing that “decentralization in the interests of all communities is still the key challenge.”

“There has been no progress made in solving cases related to the events of March 2004,” the EC states, even though the report does not state that these events consisted of mass attacks by Albanian extremists on the lives, property and churches of the Kosovo Serbs.

It also states that “there is much concern over the security situation in the north (of Kosovo),” where “the rule of law has not been established.”

People are more than their mistakes and their accomplishents dont deserve to go unrecognized because of their mistakes or none of us would ever be appreciated for anything.

And I was just addressing the one-sidedness and inconsistency on the part of Conservatives who play from a different rule book when it comes to people like Gingrich. Wasn't it Ronald Reagan Himself who said, "Never speak ill of another Republican."?

I really dislike Clinton for what his dalliances did-- he was a fool for falling right into the trap the Far Right set for him. All the time that got wasted on this is as much his fault as theirs. And it compromised all the good he might have been able to accomplish on initiatives like healthcare reform and a more permanent deficit reduction.

Instead, it just set the stage for the Bush II years.

That is not the point here. We are talking about Clinton. I'm a staunch conservative but I hold ALL politicians responsible for their actions. I don't give a rats arse who they are. So once again someone has labeled a conservative in the wrong manner. It looks the opposite way to me. They defend the worst ones and call us crybabies when we want the dems held accountable. Yet when it's a republican they foam at the mouths like rabid dogs. Byrd made a racist comment, why the hell did he stay in office after saying that. The list goes on and I repeat, I don't give a damn what political affiliation a politician is, I hold them responsible for their behavior.

You do? So, you agree that what Gingrich did was just as bad and you'll lambast him with the same vigor Conservatives usually reserve for Clinton?
