Usually not overly friendly. Speak, have short conversations but that is about it. Offer help if they need a jump or somthing like that of course.

Same here. If they are outside and I am, they wave and I wave and maybe say a friendly hello. Other than that, don't bother much

Seems like back in the day everybody got along.Nowaday's seems like people tend to keep to themselves You want a cigar It's the way it has become,in some areas? Hell,we all wish we could go back in time... But we can, that is life That childhood that we had is gone,i still wish i had those days. But i don't. Now it has come to the point of protecting the children first,an then protecting us as women next? Not saying all( man ) are bad,an know that some are at cause, but as my own opinion. (*An i state Man,as in man Kind ) I think that everyone should have a moral thought,an care for life! JMO!!! AGRANT |

I live in a duplex. I am NOT friendly with the people that live in the second half of this dwelling. They are loud and dirty. I don't even give them eye contact. Half the time their garage door is rolled half way down and they smoke pot all day.
I am, however, very good friends with the family across the street. They are a retired couple, and we help each other out all of the time. When I am away -- at school or work -- she likes to walk my doggies. When something is too heavy or hard for them to do then I provide a little manpower. They are like my family. |

I'm not as tight as I used to be with neighbors when I grew up in Boston, but I'm familiar with them & I help them out when needed.

I give a quick wave to my neighbors when they're coming & going except the outfit right next door to me. They NEVER look my way or mumble hello to me. They are Mexican and at first I thought maybe they were coyotes(smuggling illegals across the border). But, they are quiet, neat, clean, been there for years and they leave me alone.

The lesbian couple behind us is great. The others are eh. and the one ******* will die if I'm ever shot on my property because he's out "target" practicing.

Sure, I am friendly to my neighbors on either side and across the street too. Not that we visit back and forth too much, but we do always chat about one thing and another and help each other with house projects. An extra hand when doing something can mean getting it done or having it delayed for days.
The biggest thing about being friends is - What if you REALLY need help. I'm sure they would be there. I know I would be for them. |

Yes, I am friends with the people on my street. I have lived in this small town for over 20 years and it is pretty much the way it was when I was growing up. We visit each others' homes, rake, shovel and mow lawns for each other. Guess I'm one of the luck ones!
