Notice the extremely high spammer activity lately? I've seen probably 40? Female profiles with the headline... "Hi, I'm new to mingle..."

Holy crap! slaphead

I see those headlines but thought it was just the new trend in headlines.

Yep, I see them all the time. sad2

I also noticed in the Rate me forum that people are using the same subject line "I'm not new" -- and posting multiple threads. You have two threads and so does a couple of other members. What's up with that too?

Lol! I guess I started a new trend? You always see the thread... "I'm new... rate me" I started the "I'm old thread"

B.T.W. I see that you took me off your friends list again...

Nope, then again, I don't view women's profiles, so that could be why....

They are on the guy's too! Just for giggles, I ran through about 20 "match with me" profiles and saw 5 that had the same headline, "Hi I'm new to Mingle2"; one pic and no other information on the profile. Spammer city!

But why did you post two threads with the same topic in the same forum? Isn't one "rate" me thread enough?

I know... I screwed up. The first time, I posted in the general. Someone immediately scolded me for it. So re-posted in the appropriate "Ratings" topic.

I don't assume that just because of the same headlines that they are spammers. There are people that just flat out don't know what else to say or are only trying the sites out before they get in-depth with their profiles ohwell

Oh... I totally understand that. The profiles I'm talking about are left completely blank only with a picture... And that it's "Text Identical"

The headlines are all the same, "Hi, I'm new to Mingle2"; only one pic and no other information. Also the usernames are similar -- one word followed by letters.

I've seen close to 50 male members like this and Wraith noticed a few women's like this ... strange coincidence and too identical.

I just thought of a possibility!

Is "Hi, I'm new to Mingle2" a default headline? That would answer at least one part. The rest would be perfunctory coincidence.

Unfortunately I've seen scammers/spammers with the profile filled out....to attract people I guess. I have seen and talked to (without the scams lol) some that have nothing in the profile. They seem to want to try it out or don't know what to say. This is my experience at least. I'm sure there are plenty scammers/spammers with blank profiles as well

BTW...welcome back to the site. I don't believe we have met have we? waving

Oh yeah... We have talked on the forums before... I'm sure of it. Thank you.

Good call... But I just read a few of them requesting explicit sexual activities ie favors only if the person follows them into their yahoo.
