I can't understand why people are so surprised by this stuff..

Obama said a million times he was going to bring fundamental change to this country.. This is exactly what he is doing.. He has associated with the fringe nutjobs on the left since he was a teenager, and now they are running the country..

It was all out there... Readily available... No one cared then...

I may not agree with everything Obama is attempting to do, I do however agree that change is necessary. This country needs change. I for one am tired of rich, white, old, conservatives running this country and expecting the rest of us to live and believe like they do. Those of us who have associated with nutjobs since we were teenagers prefer that, they are our friends.
As far as this post...parents have the right to remove their children from any curriculum they find goes against their personal belief system. Children in grammar school take on their parents beliefs...and it changes over time to their own. Hopefully it will be a belief system of allowing others to live as they choose, and not being ashamed of their bodies.

If you voted for Obama and this is what you envisioned then good for you. Enjoy the next 3 years, because when 2012 comes along, its going to be another Rich, White, Republican in the White House.

I did not vote for Obama, or MCCain....I am however embracing change. I'm looking forward to 2012.

Why wait till then? Positive change comes from within, not without. Strive to enlighten yourself, and the world.

If we’ve learned anything in recent months, it’s that if you’re a racist, a Marxist, a Maoist, a domestic terrorist or any other variety of anti-American nut, the safest place to be is in the company of Barack Obama. If you can stay off the radar of Fox News and don’t get caught on tape giving advice on running a brothel for fun and profit, you get to influence the most powerful executive in the world.

Case in point: Obama’s “Safe Schools Czar,” Kevin Jennings. While nobody’s yet found out exactly what he knows about safe schools, we do know he’s an expert at pushing a gay agenda in public grammar schools. We know he’s praised the founder of the North American Man-Boy Love Association. And thanks to “the pro-family action center for Massachusetts,” Mass Resistance, now we know he’s an art maven. (Warning: site contains many offensive images from the installation. The site’s blog has also been flagged by Google as objectionable – which, given Google’s political leanings, may be a badge of honor.)

An exhibit of pornographic and anti-Christian gay art called “ACT UP New York: Activism, Art, and the AIDS Crisis, 1987-1993,” is currently on display at the Harvard Art Museum in Cambridge, Mass. Guess who helped fund the collection of lewd, graphic and deliberately offensive “art?” You Safe Schools Czar, Kevin Jennings.

Jennings appears on a list of contributors who provided “gifts and grants” to make the exhibit possible.

According to a Harvard Art Museum press release, “important and commemorative exhibition” “shows the critical intelligence that artists bring to bear when it comes to movements for social change.” That, and filthy pictures. In one, a Catholic Bishop is juxtaposed with a used condom. Photos of male and female genitals, homosexual activity, posters targeting Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush as murderers and pieces glorifying sadomasochism are included. (Presumably, the S&M won’t be part of any Safe Schools initiatives.)

Certainly, the networks and CNN will jump on this new revelation about Jennings…Any day now… they’re just gonna do some…investigative reporting…

All I have to say it this site supports Rush Limbaugh.

Enough said about it.

So then the story must be false right?

Any place that supports Rush don't care about truth. They only care about hate.

So the press release from The Harvard Art Museum must also be false?

I would not doubt that the whole thing is made up, personally.

Expressive art, regardless to how people feel about it, does not convict anyone of anything anyway.

There are artists who paint dismembered bodies, doesn't make them murderers.

Art is art. It is a free medium for expression of anything. As long as they are of age and consent.

The homophobic buttheads who try to make the association between homosexuality and pediafilia or homosexuality and immorality are at fault in this kind of propaganda attackes that are not truthful.

A Catholic Bishop is juxtaposed with a used condom. Posters targeting Ronald Reagan and George H.W. Bush as murderers.

I just don't find political statements art.Of course thats my opinion.
I find it funny though that a poster of Obama with a joker face was vilified. Personally I found that distasteful. But hey what do I know I'm not an artist.

Your opinion and you are entitled to it.

Doesn't make the guy the OP was about any kind of criminal though either.

does anybody here just state their own views on the issues without the help of the main stream media? jeez people. let's exchange personal views and challenge each other. i cannot challenge the author of some fvcking news article who isn't here to answer my challenge. can nobody debate on their own anymore?frustrated

Sorry I didn't know there was a rule that said I needed to post an opinion on some thing. Maybe I don't feel like debating.
Last I checked this was The Politics, Current News & Events Forum. I don't see where it says debate in it.

no need to appologize. of course there is no rule such as that here. we all have souped up search engines and we all can copy/paste an article to counter your copy/paste article. i'm sure there's a program that will do it automatically so there'd be no need to even show up. as i understand open forum, it's a place to exchange real views about real issues with real people. i cannot discuss an issue with the byline of some reporter who is not here.

If you want to debate about it. State your opinion on the article and I'm sure someone will have an opposing view to yours and debate you on it.

i never read such articles here nor do i click on website links posted here. as i say, i too have a search engine. to read here what i can find on my own would in my view downplay the whole purpose of open forum and encourage others to continue the practice of posting opinions not their own here who's author i cannot challenge.

Rich white guys can be the most dangerous thing to this country. Too bad people value those things over integrity and principles.

Rich white guys are harmless unless they buy influence in the government. It is in fact those very guys who make your current life possible by paying the premiums for goods and services introduced into the market, thus allowing producers to save enough capital that they can afford to lower prices. If it weren't for the rich, none of us could afford items like cars, radios, computers, etc.

This process is part of the larger business cycle.

Harmless rich white guys? You need a history lesson.

Harmless cannot go next to any human type, class, etc...

But white men in power can be far more dangerous than just an average person.

All of the issues in this country have been caused by rich white men in power, right?

Obama hasn't been in office long enough to cause any problems yet.

So the statement of white men in power are dangerous is a proven fact especially for us here in this country.

I know quite a few of them. That counts.
