Are we done yet about hearing about the stupid balloon family from Ft. Collins, CO? OMG what a stupid story! My father says, it was picked up because it was a slow news week, and that's the best they could come up with. Now this trash is a media sensation, when this quite possibly is the weakest news story of 2009. What do you all think? Was it a hoax? Media hype? Who the hell was in charge of those tethers anyway? Come on guys, bash and trash!

Yes there was concern, but were they really concerned, or did they make that up? The child "hid" in the attic of the garage because his dad yelled at him. The mother supposedly was in charge of tying the tethers securely. The father lost it and went off on the mother for not securing the tethers. The additional weight of the child as ballast to the silver mushroom UFO balloon would not have let the balloon take off and behave as it did. This whole story sounds ridiculous and manufactured. The fact that the media has been on this for 3 days now is even more ridiculous. Ahhhhh!

Oh, hoh, hoh! Actually when I first heard this story, I was like, "WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?" Then my father and sister got interested in it. And I was like "Don't you have anything better to do?" And they have been non-stop about this for the last 3 days. I mean really, WTF? Come on, there's better stories out there than this twisted manufactured fiction. The truth is out there! |

Yes, I did, but I wanted to adress how ridiculous this story is. Why does it deserve the media attention it's getting? Is there someone here that knows more than the rest of us that there's a deeper story, or is it just fluff? Maybe people were intrigued, maybe some were put off. It's an open forum, and I just want to hear everyone's views. And by the way David Duchovney is a perv. |
