We the people of the United States

Where the hell do they fall under those words?
 We fall under those words:smile:

They don't
 But we do, so therefore we should conduct ourselves accordingly:smile:

Then put them on trial over there!
They don't deserve to step foot in our country!
 It's not about what they deserve. Its about what we deserve. We deserve to do justice the appropriate and American way:smile: If they are guilty then it shouldn't a problem:smile:

 Gitmo has become a bad symbol for the rest of the world. Its not a problem to give them trial here. If they are guilty, and we have the evidence to back it up, then they will be convicted and imprisoned just as we always did things in the past. And it worked great. I think we should go back to doing things the American way rather than the Dick Cheney way. And open and tranparent trials are the American way that made this country great. Not these secret kangaroo tribunals:smile:

the issue isn't keeping them in prison.. the issue is putting them in an environment where they can prosthelytize to a captive audience of felons and spread their anti-American hatred..

" They don't need to set foot on our soil.

There is no reason not to have the trials there.

Can you imagine what will happen having them in our jails here? Retaliation, you watch. In one way shape or form there will be retaliation for them being here and demanding their freedoms.

Political correctness is killing this Country"

nah what killed the country is that over half the detainees at GTMO were rounded up illegally and never committed any crime. Do you condone that?

 I have often wondered why they are afraid to give these detainees public trials:smile:

Because the second they set foot here, they get the power of subpoena which includes secret CIA documents which will force the government to let them go to avoid exposing protected sources. As soon as they are released, we are in danger.

Ah....!.
How many innocent people di the US kill in both Iraq and Afghanistan ?.
According to many reports the GITMO detainees are innocent and were brought there for political and propaganda reasons .
Most of them left already .
Wake up America and realise that the media and Administration propaganda are killing any common sense in America !!!.

Yes men and women have died by the hands of who? Anywho, I don't feel they belong here for trials. have the trials there, if they are set free, they are not set free in our Country.

Yes, wake up America against all this political correctness. One thing that we can agree on...
common sense went out the window a long time ago because of political correctness.

We do NOT need the trials here, it's insane.

The reason they are not on American Soil is for the sole purpose of not extending "our rights" to them.....

That's not the point. They are not accused of breaking American laws on American soil. They are accused of being terrorists on international soil which places them in the realm of "combatants" not lawbreakers. They are subject to military justice, not civil court action. There has never been a war (that I know of) where the combatants that killed without uniforms were brought here to face US justice. The military tribunal system has been in place just for that purpose because the laws governing SUBPOENA would allow them to ask for military plans, military surveillance techniques, and tons of other information that we cannot give to the terrorists.

The logic of the military tribunal system is that the military had the option of putting a bullet in their head at the time but chose to capture them for information. If the act of capturing a terrorist weakens your security by exposing what methods were used to capture them in the first place, it puts the military in the preferred position of simply killing them outright without asking anything. Bringing the terrorists to the US for trial does not comply with the history of US justice, it goes against it. The "rights" of a combantant out of uniform are slim.
