How much authority do you have over your own life and how do you assert your personal authority in your daily life? From a philosophical perspective, I believe the I have absolute authority over my own life.
From a practical perspective, I assert my authority simply by doing what I want. |

I have ultimate freedom, well, as ultimate as it can get without owning my own vehicle anyway. I find that having that many choices can be paralyzing sometimes. I am currently unemployed, have been since 12/23/07. I am thinking screw working for other people, I will start my own business, now that I have the know how to run one. On the other hand, I also have a sinking suspicion that higher powers or forces have something important planned for me sometime soon. So either I run my life, or I don't and nobody is steering the ship.

I consider myself to be the ultimate authority of my material life. I do have a "higher power" but that higher power is my own higher self. But I am the captain of this ship. This ship being this incarnation.

How much authority do you have over your own life and how do you assert your personal authority in your daily life? First, you have to realize you have it and then there is no reason to assert it. You just act normal which will show you have it and it goes without saying. |

If you just drift through your life waiting for things to happen, waiting to "be discovered" you may be disappointed. I don't think anyone has absolute control over "everything." But if you don't know where you are going you could end up anywhere. That may be somewhere you don't really want to be. Going with the flow, following your heart, etc. does not mean trying to control everything. Having a goal does not mean trying to control everything. |
