Shapely And Fit

I would prefer,
he stated so wryly.
Though, he was not,
as young and spryly.

You see it's the way,
I've always been.
Oh, this little fullness?
Well that's just a friend.

If you would prefer,
I'll share my glasses.
They're rosey and stylish,
Worn by the masses.

You see, it's all the rage.
To look through this plank,
A small little sliver,
He said looking blank.

Yes, I would prefer
Shapely and fit.
He said,poking his cane,
With white on the tip.
