Topic: Dating prospects: friends (10) dates (1) | |
---|---|
My friend who invited me to this site was right. This is a calmer, more mature site. I have met some solid . . . well "real" freinds here: real lives, real problems, real desires and when I meet them F2F . . . REAL PEOPLE.
However, . . . I am not finding very many real, nice, mellow dates here . . . is it me? (I assume it is) or is it the nature of this site? By that I mean that the ability to conduct postings and trace postings for those who spark you interest is weak relative to other sites. That's really the best way to meet people on the net. Am I wrong? I am hopeful that a few more capabilities in the site will greatly improve the capacity to follow threads and the people that post them. And to say it again, thank you for providing a more mature site in which I maintain friendships across the land. Thanks for the friends. (Not whining - I had awesome dates in Dallas) |

I've been on Mingle since Jan 09 and I've only had 3 Mingle dates.
I think you are "in the norm". I use a combination of online and in-person situations for dating. The forums helped me meet more friends than dates though. I keep forums and matching separate. I don't know why -- it just works best for me. For friends, you can't beat Mingle! |

``to conduct postings and trace postings ``
I don`t understand this, but don`t worry, because all my posts are incomprehensibe, too. Just learn to roll with the flow. |

I`m looking at your newly posted newest profile picture on the forums. That`s all. Oh! You dissing one of my Halloween costumes from last year? As a rule, a rigorous rule, I never diss women. ``Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.`` I learned this lesson at great and grave personal expense. Once when I was playing Bridge, I tried to banter with female opponent (I think she was South and I was East) but the banter did not take off. So she and her partner beat me and my partner by over 1000 points in every hand. I learned there and there not to diss. For a hiss is worse than a kiss even if you miss, Miss. |

You be the judge... |
