I am having this debate with my gf and if we ever had a son together...no their aren't any plans Her postion: It is not medically necessary and I'd never mutilate my child like that My position: Even though it may not be medically necessary there are some health benefits such as hygiene(which she says is counteracted by teaching them to clean 'down there' properly) and also the social aspect as well...I have heard some stories from a few of my female friends saying they find a guy that is uncircumised kind of a turn off...I wouldn't want to have my son have to explain to his first gf that he is 'different' then other guys.... So what do you think do you think circumcision is necessary? are you against it? why or why not? |

my ex was uncirc'd...i had my son circ'd, and for the health reasons, i'd do it again...it is terribly painful if for some medical reason he'd need to have it off later in life...

I've heard that I had a friend that was 32 and got an infection down there and had to have it done then...he was off work for almost 3 weeks |

It's terribly painful at any age. When I got circumcised, I couldn't walk for a year afterwards... of course I was circumcised at birth...still, I couldn't walk for a year. |

Depending on how much consideration you put into statistics, uncircumcised wee-wees are prone to spread STDs because "some" men have trouble keeping themselves clean.
Personally, they are ugly and smelly if they aren't cut (from experience). I won't date a guy who isn't cut because of cleanliness and the lack of visual pleasure. I like a beautifully naked man with a big 'ol beautiful unit! For the guy, they say there is more sensitivity if they are left intact. Those are just some points to consider -- except my personal opinion which has nothing to do with your question per se. |
