Oh my gosh, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with race. The guy just did not deserve it. Heck the comedians made all sorts of fun at President Bush but it's but it's not ok for them to joke about obama? Give me a freaking break, that is hypocritical. If some of us feel him winning the damn peace prize is undeserving, then that is our right, we are not limited, we just see things for what they are. Barack Hussein Obama just did NOT deserve it. That's our choice to feel that way.

Like I said, I don't feel it's right or funny to do...to anyone...but there are a lot that are made fun of in talk shows, skits, songs, whatever, that actually find it either funny themselves, or flattering in the sense that they are at least getting publicity. No one has to agree or partake in it, but if the ones it's aimed at don't mind...

I happen to be one of the most liberal, non-racist, non-predjudiced, overly-fair, give the benefit of the doubt, over compensating, first to give credit where credit is due people you would ever meet...and as for coming out of or up with limited means and making your life to be what you want due to hard work, determination, strong will, fight to prove people wrong, be and have better for your children, and go through obstacles like you would never believe...I could tell you some stories of breaking through the odds and achieving some pretty amazing things. Yes, we ALL should be raised and ingrained with the belief that we can do and be anything we set our minds to and work for, no matter where we come from, who we are, or what, if any, limitations we may have or develop. Unfortunately it's not that way, and awards and positions do incite further developement and ambition in some, and if earned, yes they do deserve it. However, that wasn't what the OP was commenting on, and she meant no disrespect to anyone. It's all good, and we are all equal, and we all deserve some love and tolerance...and I'm thinkin decaff might help.

You know it does not matter what office anyone holds it has nothing to do with race, size or what they think. They will always be the butt of comedians jokes. Sure some will be offended where others will get a good laugh out of it. But regardless all it does is bring those more publicity good or bad publicity is still publicity for them......

Sure some of the jokes are in poor taste but at times one must admit they do have some good stuff.

I just think that the initial topic was misunderstood it was just a bit of humor not downing Obama for where he is or what he received....
