Topic: My Man | |

Guys, how do you feel when the woman you are dating refers to you as 'My Man'?????? It makes me feel like King of the World. What is wrong with the words my boyfriend? "My man" is more serious. It kinda gives the warm and fuzzy feeling that "my only one" or "the one I chose" . "My boyfriend" is really high school stuff if you ask me. How about "they guy I'm seeing"??? Sounds like the guy at 7-11....... |

If someone I loved referred to me as "My man." I would be honored and happy. Certainly, a term of endearment beyond "boyfriend", "significant other" or a host of other titles bestowed upon me!

How about "they guy I'm seeing"??? That sounds like somebody you might/might not love, sounds more like a loose or just a developing connection. |

You are special and I can see why.. If I felt someone was special I wouldn't hesitate to use a number of special endearments... |

I never knew "my man" was such a big deal. It can be- very much - if you truly care about the person who says it...and they say it with that feeling every man - and every woman for that matter - treasures. It's good to be loved! |

I've never called a guy any sort of endearment. I just call them by their name, or "my friend" or "that guy" or "hey you."
