Bummed out. My parakeet Daffodil died trying to lay and egg today. I have had her for over six years. Got her really for the Princess to enjoy and now her passing away to seems like both are just that much farther away. I hope the mate is ok now he is alone. This is so depressing.

I will have to think about it. I might just see if someone wants to have him. Have a really nice cage and so forth. Doing the daily maintenace is a lot. Would wonder if he would accept a new bird. If I put two males in there if that would be better than a pair trying to mate in captivity.

Oh man...I'm really sorry. I was devastated when my lil cockatiel "Desi" died...it's funny how attached we get to them...
