think it necessary to put "LOL"
at the end of nearly every sentence, whether it is fitting or not? LOL (Internet slang), an acronym or abbrieviation of "laughing out loud", "laugh out loud", "lots of laughs." Sometimes it beats me when I see it under a serious topic, where there is nothing to laugh about. Inquiring mind wants to know.

Well, sometimes is fine, but I see people using it all the time, after
nearly every sentence. You are fine MsTeddy.

Out of habit maybe? It's the new grammar for end of a sentence.

I use it to express joy, levity and to let the person know I enjoyed
there coment. Kinda of a smile to a fellow human is in the real world. But I agree lets come up with a new and better slang thaing. Hmmm hmmmm hmmmmmmmm????? I know POMF slang for "Piss off mother F***ker". That would be so much better at the end of ALL words.  I am just jocking. POMF I mean LOL

I don't know why people would do it on a serious subject. That's odd. I do it a lot, if there is ANY question about whether the remark could be miscontrued as an insult were it not for the writer meaning it as a light-hearted comment. |

Maybe I'm a bit old fashioned, I just don't think it appropriate in
topics that have to be taken serious.

be funny i think its because they cant show emotion on here and that is the only way , |

i agree when something is serious then there should be no lol there ,

Absolutely agreed..........I only do it when we're all clowning around,
especially in the evenings........You know how most of us get.........But if it's something serious, I don't do anything of the sort, in reference to laughing. It's not right. |
